Girls edging closer to a first victory

Every Saturday morning this season, one all-girl team has been battling away in the Country Coastal Junior Soccer Association.
Last weekend, the Dynadolls under-11s more than doubled their season goals tally and came within touching distance of their first win.
The Dynamos-affiliated club consists of many players new to the sport and coach Felicia Addy hopes the young team will be a catalyst towards growing the female game.
“To keep the team together is the plan,” she said.
“We're the only all-girls team and we're hoping this will encourage other clubs to do the same and build towards an all-girls league.”
Playing mainly against far more experienced teams of all boys, results have been tough for the Dynadolls with 20-0, 17-0 and 16-0 losses all featuring.
The team played away to second-bottom Eaton Dardanup Blue in wet conditions on Saturday, a team including three girls.
An early 1-0 lead became a 4-1 deficit, which they pegged back to 4-3 and 5-4 midway through the second half before a late flurry of goals saw the Dynadolls eventually beaten 9-4.
Before Saturday's match, Dynadolls had only scored three goals in seven matches.
Addy praised the team's improvement, saying the closer game showed they knew how to play.
She also praised their willingness to listen to instructions.

“I love it and am enjoying the season so much,” she said.
“They're a really good team to coach.”

Player Requirements

Each player must supply their own red shorts, soccer boots and shin pads. No player of any age will be allowed to participate without wearing shin pads. Dynamos will supply each player with a pair of club socks and a playing shirt. The club socks are for each player to keep and wear to all fixtured matches.

The playing shirt is to be worn to each match for the duration of the season and then returned to Dynamos at the completion of the season.

The playing shirt is to be worn to games only, NOT FOR TRAINING. This ensures that the shirts are kept in good condition and Dynamos can use them for many years to come. If a shirt is lost or returned to Dynamos in poor condition, then tahe player will be charged for the cost of replacement.
